Starkville, Sity of Sitcoms

February 4, 2008

I went up to Starkville, Mississippi today. When most people hear the words Starkville, MS, usually the words Mississippi State University follows. It was not any different today, for that is where I went. Usually the reasons people go there are the same: academics, athletic events, etc. Athletics events were the only reasons I had been up there previously. However, that is not why I went up. I went up to audition for the soon-to-be-hit sitcom, I Can’t Believe That’s Television.

It’s a show that has elements of different sitcoms of the past (The Office, Scrubs, Arrested Development, etc.), but stands out on it’s own. Without giving too much away, this is a show that will integrate fiction and reality in a way the aforementioned shows haven’t. The show displays a television station and the quirkiness of the staff of people who work there. It’s a project that sounds exciting, and I hope very much that I am asked to be a part of the cast.

Imperfection On a final note, how about them Giants! 17-14! The Patriots are 18-1, baby, yeah!
