Only in Mississippi…

April 15, 2008

Well, well, well. Yesterday, as I was driving, I received a call from my agent, Sharon Ward, callback.JPGand I was told that I had a callback for W., which perhaps may be the most controversial movie that will come out in 2008. If I were to get cast in this film, it would be a helluva way to get my feet wet in the major motion picture scene. I look forward to it, and I head to Shreveport tomorrow to take advantage of this blessing I’ve been given. I have a great feeling about the whole deal. When I find out the results, you’ll be the first to know.

On a new front, I get the chance to team up with the crew of Prom Night of Mississippi, the documentary film I acted in last September. They’ve asked me to do some Production Assistant work for the film this weekend. After thinking about it, I decided to accept it to make a few extra dollars. It’ll be good to see the Saltzmans, Thabi Mayo, and the rest of the crew again, but I have to say; only in Mississippi are you a featured actor in a movie one month and then a Production Assistant the next. I think a move would do me good. But no complaints here. After all…

“do any work you do well, and it will carry over into other areas of life…”

That’s a quote from my father. A good man; a Mississippi man. And don’t you forget it. I know I haven’t. Lord knows I haven’t.
