It wasn’t very long ago, November to be precise, when the protagonist of this website (c’est moi) drove up to Memphis and auditioned for Pinkville, a film that was to be directed by Oliver Stone, but due to the WGA strike, it was put on the shelf indefinitely. I had a good time going up there to audition for the film; after all, that was the excursion where I found my self ending up on a rap video (see Call Big Doc, My First Rap Video). In spite of all this, I was still disappointed about what happened to Pinkville. But now it appears that I have been granted a second chance to star in an Oliver Stone picture, this one falls under the title of W, or, as they say in Texas, “Dubyah”.
The film focuses on the formative years of George W. Bush, the current President of the United States of America. It will be shot in Shreveport, LA, hence that is where I’m going tomorrow to audition for the film. The title role will be played by Josh Brolin (No Country for Old Men, American Gangster); George H. Bush by James Cromwell (Babe, L.A. Confidential), and the great Ellen Burstyn (The Exorcist, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood) has been cast as Barbara Bush. Needless to say, I’m excited to have this opportunity to audition.
Concerning Handry Kova, the Crossroads Film Festival falls upon the same weekend, an oversight on my part, that we planned to shoot the last several scenes of the film, which was next weekend. But the producers of this film, including myself, is resolute that this film will be made, so don’t fear that there will be a lack of finality, because there will be; otherwise, I’ll have a pile of blogs that state something that’s completely untrue. Take care, everyone.
