It’s been awhile since I’ve written my last blurb. I’ve been a busy man. Getting ready for the short film I’m co-producing/acting in. The title of this entry is the short film.
“Two roommates begin to question the supernatural as they experience phenomena in their very own house!”
That’s the pitch. My kid sister, Kit, wrote the screenplay and did a helluva job if you ask me. Horror is the genre of this film, but it won’t be a slasher style that filmmakers are prone to make these days. Instead, the chill factor will be the apparent subtleness mixed with a suspense that rises, slowly but steadily, throughout the film. I’m looking forward to it. We’re having auditions this weekend (Feb 2nd), so I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes.
Also taught a workshop up in Tupelo, MS this past weekend. Stage Combat to high schoolers. Hundreds of kids from dozens of high schools participated. Blood was spilt. Alliances were formed. Friendships were severed. Rivalries were intensified. Two of the teenagers from rival schools started arguing who won their football game this past fall (there was a controversial call involved, it seems). The argument became contagious. What was meant to be a educational workshop became complete bedlam. Every thespian for themselves. All I wanted was my check and to get the heck out of that fracas. But seriously, it was fun. Good kids. Worlds of potential in some of them.
Also, I’ve been appearing in commercials throughout the Jackson, MS metro area for Antonelli College. Interesting, because I haven’t seen it. Oh, well. Apparently it’s nothing too embarrassing.
Next blog. An update on Handry Kova, and anything else that may be of interest. Ciao.
