Fun, Fun, Fun

Many things were seen in Tennessee this past week, by me and those who were destined to be around me as I was visiting. Yes, I did say destiny. Some believe that we’re all drifting aimlessly in the vast cosmos; not necessarily bound by any greater force, and anything rewarding or unfortunate that happens to us is a result of our own actions. While I believe there are principles that we live by (reap what you sew, etc.), I also believe in a greater force that guides our lives, and the lives of those around us. We know who we know and do what we do, not by mere happenstance, but by plans created by something greater than us.

Saying that, I really enjoyed my trip to SETC. The per and my further expedition in the Great Smokies. I hung out in Gatlinburg and did all the touristy crap (Putt-putt golf, Space Needle, Jello Shot Contest, etc.). I also went to the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina. This is home of the self-proclaimed largest house in America biltmore-house.JPG(After seeing it, I’m not going to be the one who disputes this argument.) If you’ve never seen this place, I encourage you to go; it’s worth it. Not really much else to say about the trip. Gatlinburg is very much a family place. If you’re a swinger who’s looking to party, I wouldn’t recommend it. But if you have a couple of kids, a good relationship with your spouse (It doesn’t have to be great; in fact, if it’s only average, you’ll be alright.), and know someone who can watch your pets while you’re away, Gatlinburg may be just the spot for you.

I have to admit that I’m glad to be back. Don’t misunderstand me; I love my family and spending time with them, but I have a number of projects that I’m trying to get done, and the only way a lot of them will get done is if I’m around. Actually, I’ve never really have been a huge fan of vacations. Anytime I go anywhere, I usually have some sort of angle or business that I’m trying to accomplish. Is that healthy? That’s anyone’s guess. I’m doing alright, so it must not be unhealthy.

As for the Handry Kova update, we’re shooting a big scene tonight, and will probably be up until the wee hours of the morning. And I got a meeting in Hattiesburg tomorrow morning as well. Fun, Fun, Fun a West Coast band once said. Perhaps…perhaps.
