Happy Memorial Day to all our veterans! Although it is day after, it’s never too late to express our gratitude for our men and ladies in uniform.
I arrived from Belize late Sunday afternoon. It was a very blessed time by all who participated. The trip was wrought with surprises and adjustments, although many of them being pleasant and minor.
Over the next couple of weeks I will be posting several entries from the members of the group. They can also be seen on the Belhaven College and Enclave of the Arts website, but the more sites the entries are on the merrier, right? I figured this would be better than me explaining the whole trip on one blog entry. Just like it’s better to eat a hamburger in several bites, rather than stuffing the whole thing down your throat (nice imagery, huh?)
I made plenty of new friends while I was in Belize, and the door is open for myself and the Joshua Squad to go back down there in future. This is an opportunity I’m glad to have before me; the people in Belize were generous, kind, and open to hearing what we had to say through the performances and workshops.
So I expect in the future you will see another blog entry on this site that reads “Going to Belize” or something of that nature.
