On My Own…For Real

As of today, it’s official. I have moved into my Burbank Bungalow, and am a free, tax-paying resident of the state of California.

The past three weeks of my stay in Simi Valley has been quite extraordinary. I have truly seen God do works in my life that would not have been possible if I had not chosen to embark on this journey. I must thank the Bentley Family for making my transition much smoother than it could have been. Thanks, guys, you’re amazing.

In Hollywood news, I was recently cast as an extra in a pilot that will be shot in the middle of September. The name of the project is Keep on Dreaming. I will keep you up to date on that as I get information. It’s only extra work, but you have to start somewhere, right?

Tidbits: Geraniums and Wrens Pics

Just want to remind people about the Photo Gallery section of this site, and I’ve added a new feature for that page today.

Geraniums and Wrens, a musical Karen and I wrote and produced, now have pictures that are in this section. This whimsical show focuses on relationships and how fragile, distorted, and endearing they can be. There is also a script sample of the show in the Script Samples section of this website, and if you want to read the rest of the script, let me know. To see these photos immediately, and for a brief history of the show, click here.

Enjoy, and stay tuned for more entries. Peace.

Stronger and Faster

Like many Americans, I’ve been watching some of the Olympic Games. You can’t help but be in awe of the athletes and their performances. Years and years of turmoil and sweat is poured into their lives as they hone and perfect their respective skills. The seconds and minutes that we see on television is merely a microcosm, just a glimpse, of the journey they had to take in order to compete in these Games.

One of these athletes is Michael Phelps, who if you haven’t heard of by now, it means you’ve been fasting all forms of media for the past month. I watched last night as he accomplished the seemingly impossible task of matching Mark Spitz’s record of seven gold medals in a single Olympics. Michael Phelps already holds the record for most Olympic gold medals with thirteen. He’s been heralded by some as the greatest Olympian ever, and with thirteen gold medals to his credit, it’s hard to disagree.

Tidbits and New Features

Some quick updates:

The Devil and Tom Walker, a short film that I starred in, will be featured at the Fright Night Film Fest in Louisville, KY on August 15-17. If you live anywhere close to that vicinity (Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Maryland, Pennsylvania, etc.), go check it out and support the independent filmmaking movement (and me). ;) For more info check out the Fright Night Film Fest website

Check out the new Script Samples section of this website, featuring shows that I’ve wrote and/or collaborated. If you like what you see, and want to read more, contact me at guinn@guinnterrydavis.com

That’s all for now. More to come. Lots more.

Settled in Simi

So I’m temporarily staying in Simi Valley, while I’m searching for a permanent place to stay in L.A.

There are a couple of good prospects on the horizon, so I seek and soon will find.

One time I was in a forest (long story, but believe me, I was there) and I saw a guy who was walking in circles just staring at the ground. Concerned that he might have lost something valuable, I asked him if I could help him look for whatever it was he lost.

No, thanks. I know where I am.

He replied curtly. A rather strange response, I mused. So I was set to go off on my merry way, but stopped in my tracks. I know where I am. Maybe the guy was having a panic attack, and needed some assistance. I looked back, and he was still walking in a circle.
