A United Dance

My apologies on taking this long to blog, but I’ve had a hectic week and a half that has prevented me from posting. prom-night.JPG There were some surprises along the way; pleasant surprises.

First, I went to the callback in Shreveport for Oliver Stone’s W. film. This time the audition was in an office building on the far west end of Shreveport; you could literally see the edge of town from the window. I didn’t catch what the space was used for on a regular basis, but it appeared that it wasn’t used very often. Furniture was in a disarrayed set; there were a couple of cracks in the wall, etc. But you don’t want to hear about that, right? So on to the good stuff.

Only in Mississippi…

Well, well, well. Yesterday, as I was driving, I received a call from my agent, Sharon Ward, callback.JPGand I was told that I had a callback for W., which perhaps may be the most controversial movie that will come out in 2008. If I were to get cast in this film, it would be a helluva way to get my feet wet in the major motion picture scene. I look forward to it, and I head to Shreveport tomorrow to take advantage of this blessing I’ve been given. I have a great feeling about the whole deal. When I find out the results, you’ll be the first to know.

The Devil and Tom Walker Photos

No word so far from the representatives of the Oliver Stone movie, W., but there is still reason to be hopeful for my being cast. old-scratch-gunpoint-website.JPG As of this publishing, there hasn’t been word anywhere (websites, publications, etc.) that has released a cast list. The logic that I’m relying on is that if there’s no cast list, I still have a good shot on being on it when it is released. But there’s also the train of thought that I would have been contacted by now if I had at least a callback. On the other hand, since this is my first time to be involved in a major studio motion picture, I’m not really sure how long it takes for them to make a decision on casting. I could go on for hours. Welcome to the thoughts inside my head for the past week.

The Waiting Game

Got back from Shreveport last Saturday with high expectations from my audition for the Oliver Stone movie, W, and I have little reason to doubt my chances of getting cast. There weren’t a large number of people auditioning for this role (It could have been that exclusive, or else there were ten different auditions going on in different cities across the nation that I wasn’t aware of.) The casting staff and I seemed to have had a good rapport, and I felt that I was fairly prepared for the situation, considering how quick everything had to come together.
