It wasn’t very long ago, November to be precise, when the protagonist of this website (c’est moi) drove up to Memphis and auditioned for Pinkville, a film that was to be directed by Oliver Stone, but due to the WGA strike, it was put on the shelf indefinitely. I had a good time going up there to audition for the film; after all, that was the excursion where I found my self ending up on a rap video (see Call Big Doc, My First Rap Video). In spite of all this, I was still disappointed about what happened to Pinkville. But now it appears that I have been granted a second chance to star in an Oliver Stone picture, this one falls under the title of W, or, as they say in Texas, “Dubyah”.

Bloodbath, Sitcom, and Other Updates
To start off this article, I have to say that I had a blast shooting the The Devil and Tom Walkerlast Friday. It was the first film that I had been in where my character dies. Without giving too much away (Too late, right?), the ending of this film is quite unforgettable, and it may force whoever sees it to never look at me the same way again. One word can describe the end of this film: Bloodbath.
The Devil and Tom Walker
Yes, I have been cast in another film. And this will definitely be a long leap away from some other projects I’ve acted in. The film is titledThe Devil and Tom Walker, and is an adaptation of the Washington Irving novel that goes by the same name. In the same vein of the classic story of Faust, the story revolves around a man named Tom Walker, who makes a deal with a character named Old Scratch, who is strongly hinted to be the devil. In return for the ability to gain wealth and fame, Tom Walker must eventually give his soul to Old Scratch.
Fun, Fun, Fun
Many things were seen in Tennessee this past week, by me and those who were destined to be around me as I was visiting. Yes, I did say destiny. Some believe that we’re all drifting aimlessly in the vast cosmos; not necessarily bound by any greater force, and anything rewarding or unfortunate that happens to us is a result of our own actions. While I believe there are principles that we live by (reap what you sew, etc.), I also believe in a greater force that guides our lives, and the lives of those around us. We know who we know and do what we do, not by mere happenstance, but by plans created by something greater than us.
Going to Tennessee (They’re Playing My Song)
The title of this article is a reference to a promo ad Tennessee’s Department of Tourism released about fifteen years. Basically it had famous people from Tennessee (primarily country singers, no surprise) singing a bar or two from the catchy jingle “Come to Tennessee, We’re Playing Your Song” on the commercial. But at any rate, the title also states a fact; I’m leaving for Tennessee today, and won’t be back until next week.
