Pinkville Audition

The audition went pretty well last Saturday for the Oliver Stone movie, Pinkville. There were close to two thousand people that showed up, and I made it into the elite few who actually made the first two cuts and was interviewed on tape. I’m waiting to hear if I made it into the final cut. It may be a while, though. Apparently, the movie, as of this weekend, has been put on hold due to the writer’s strike. Oh, well, I will sit and wait.

Gibberish, or What to Talk about After Watching a Movie on Friday Night

I love to write scripts. However, I haven’t written an original one in quite a while. I adapted the Gondoliers script, which was performed at Belhaven earlier this month, but it wasn’t quite the same as actually writing an original story.

Are all the good stories taken? I don’t think so. In fact, I believe my next script will be more astonishing than the last one I wrote. I’ve got a couple of ideas, but nothing has really jumped out at me yet. One character in my head said…

Write a story about me!

And I said…

Ok. What’s interesting about you?

He paused and said…

I’m Swiss?

The writers are still on strike. I think they have a noble cause. Will they get what they want? Maybe; only time will chime, and only William can Tell. (Hey! That’d be a great name for a Swiss character. Hm, I wonder if it’s already taken…)

Going to Memphis tomorrow. Audition. Eat some BBQ. Come home. Get some sleep. Should be a good day.
